Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates the staff of the Russian State Archive of the Economy on the 50th anniversary of its founding
The message reads, in part:
"Over the decades, the Russian State Archive of the Economy has grown to become a unique repository of documents encompassing great swathes of Russia's history in the areas of industry, agriculture, construction, transport, communications and trade. Its vast resources give us a real picture of Russia's economic development through the 20th century, and allow us to form an objective view of our country's past.
I should note that the archive is known for its knowledgeable, competent and dedicated staff. You make a substantial contribution to preserving and augmenting the records-base covering Russia's economic history, and are actively engaged in solving practical tasks. Above all, through your responsible and valuable work you help preserve Russia's outstanding archival traditions."
