By invitation of Wen Jiabao, Premier and Party Secretary of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will travel to China on October 11-12 and participate in the sixteenth regular meeting of the heads of governments of Russia and China

 
 
 

Vladimir Putin will also meet with Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China.

During this round of Russian-Chinese talks, the parties will discuss cooperation in economic, scientific and humanitarian areas, while focusing on how to improve the pattern of bilateral trade, to expand investment cooperation in hi-tech spheres, and to implement long-term energy projects. Topical issues on the international and regional agendas will also be considered.
