Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to participants and guests of the 9th Vladivostok International Film Festival of Asia-Pacific Countries “Pacific Meridian”
The message reads, in part:
"Your film festival is relatively young, but it can already be proud of its traditions, creative atmosphere, and rich palette of works, mostly by acknowledged cinematographers from the Asia-Pacific region, that are presented at the competition.
"I would like to remind you that the dynamic development of political, business and cultural contact with the Asia-Pacific states has always been a top priority for us. The attention paid to the preparation of the upcoming APEC summit in Vladivostok is a strong example of this.
"I have no doubt that the Pacific Meridian festival will be a success and will offer participants and guests a rich programme, with the bright and memorable works of actors and directors. And, of course, it will promote the development of the national film industry and distribution of the best Russian films all over the world."
