Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants and guests of the 24th Moscow International Book Fair

The message reads, in part:

"Since the beginning, this large and popular project has attracted a huge number of professionals and book lovers. It is a remarkable part of Russia's cultural and social life. This year's exhibition is particularly important as one of the key events in the Year of Russian Culture and Language in Italy and the Year of Italian Culture and Language in Russia.

"Visitors to the Russian Exhibition Centre will be the first to see some of the new books on the market and meet with well-known authors and young writers. Networking is of course one of the forum's main objectives. Traditionally, publishing industry professionals from around the world come to Moscow to discuss a range of the industry's topical issues, share their experiences, learn about the latest publishing technology and seek potential business partners.

"I hope the book fair enjoys great success and becomes a memorable time for its guests and participants."
