The message reads, in part:

"The relationship between our countries, based on centuries-old history and a spiritual and cultural affinity, continues to develop positively. Cooperation in fields such as trade and the economy, investment, research and technology, the defence industry and culture has been significantly intensified of late. Large joint projects are being implemented; a high level of understanding has been reached at the head of state level.

I am sure that we will go on solving the various challenges facing our countries together, improving the mechanisms for bilateral partnership in the interests of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Ukraine."
