Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed an executive order on the membership of the Government Commission for Territorial Planning, appointing Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak as its head.

The Government Commission for Territorial Planning is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the preparation of territorial planning documents by government agencies at all levels. Federal and regional territorial planning schemes as well as general plans for cities ensure predictability and transparency in the process of a long-term territorial development by government agencies.
