Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to participants of the 20th Mikhail Yevdokimov national folk art and sports festival, Zemlyaki

The message reads, in part:

"This forum has every right to be proud of its long record and unfailingly friendly, informal and festive atmosphere. The Altai Territory residents look forward to each event. Stage and screen, plus sports stars as well as novices and foreign guests are always happy to visit this hospitable region. The festival makes a significant contribution to the preservation and development of Russian culture and traditions, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness, as well as a tribute to the memory of the late Altai governor, Mikhail Yevdokimov, a gifted and unusual person.

"I am confident that this year's Zemlyaki (Compatriots) festival will feature a variety of great shows and interesting meetings."
