Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to participants, organisers and guests at the international exhibition held to mark the 20th anniversary of the CIS

The message reads, in part:
"The anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States is a momentous event that unites our countries. We have stood together during the establishment and strengthening of the Commonwealth, jointly developing effective forms of interaction and partnership. Today the CIS is an established geopolitical reality, an integration association that plays a major role in ensuring stability and security in Eurasia and in promoting business, humanitarian, and human contacts.
"This ambitious exhibition demonstrates both the achievements of the CIS member states, and, what is most important, the far-reaching cooperation prospects and the realisation of joint initiatives and projects. I am confident that if we unite our efforts, use the competitive advantages and creatively build on the integration experience, we can achieve outstanding results for the benefit of our nations."
