I am proud to have been part of this work in the past.
"It is worth noting that the city of St Petersburg has significantly expanded the geographic base of its business, academic and cultural relationships, and improved its investment climate over these years. It is now considered one of the largest centres of international activity.
"I am confident that St Petersburg, dubbed Russia's northern capital, will always be open to interesting ideas and creative initiatives, to lucrative projects for the benefit of local residents and for all Russians. I am also sure that the committee members will successfully meet any challenges they face."
