Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants and guests of the 22nd Open Russian Film Festival Kinotavr
The message reads, in part:
“I am truly pleased that despite its advancing age Kinotavr remains eternally young. It boldly expands its creative and geographic boundaries, discovering new talents and generously sharing with its participants and spectators the warmth and hospitality of pre-Olympic Sochi, as well as assembling the stars of Russian cinematography and distinguished international guests in our southern capital. It is a widely respected professional forum that makes a significant contribution to the development of the domestic film industry and promotion of Russian films on the world's cinema screens.
I am confident that the 22nd Kinotavr will reward us with an exciting and rigorous programme, as well as a special and friendly atmosphere.”
