Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to participants of XV World Russian People’s Council
The telegram reads, in part:
"I extend my greetings to the participants and guests of the XV World Russian People's Council, which has brought together representatives of the clergy, both public and educational organizations, cultural figures, scientists, government officials and students.
Over the years of diverse and productive activity, the World Russian Council has gained recognition as an authoritative international institution and has made a significant contribution to strengthening enduring spiritual, moral, and family values, as well as to the preservation of the rich historical heritage of our people. The council has been instrumental in educating the younger generation and restoring the spiritual, national, and cultural integrity of the Russian World.
I am confident that this year's council, with its important and pressing theme, Fundamental Values – a Key to Peoples' Unity will leave a significant impact on Russian society, and the decisions and recommendations made at the Council will serve to benefit Russia and its people".
