Prime Minister Vladimir Putin greets participants of the 11th International Likhachyov Readings
The message reads, in part:
"Your forum in St Petersburg traditionally attracts the highest level of Russian intellectuals, prominent scientists and public activists from other nations. This is an outstanding and significant event for international scientific and cultural life. It is important that the readings invariably reflect the most urgent and pressing humanitarian issues. An expanded dialogue between cultures and societies in the modern world and the strengthening of the spiritual-moral pillars of society are the most important humanitarian issues. And, of course, the preservation of Dmitry Likhachyov's priceless heritage which has not lost its significance over the years is one of your most important achievements."
