In Kiev Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is planning to discuss with the Ukrainian leaders the most urgent issues of bilateral cooperation, primarily in major fields such as energy, trade and economic ties, transport and joint programmes in the aviation industry.
As co-chairs of the Committee on Economic Cooperation of the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission, Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov will discuss the implementation of the committee’s agreements and preparations for its next meeting.
The sides will talk about the prospects for bilateral cooperation in space exploration, considering the significance of the date – April 12, 2011 is the 50th anniversary of Yury Gagarin’s space flight.
