"I think that your meetings are an important and very useful initiative. During the last decade the forum has established some solid traditions and become a prestigious venue for discussing the pressing issues of the Russian economy and strengthening cooperation between Russia and Switzerland in the fields of finance, banking and investment.
"Our countries are linked by durable relations based on mutual trust and respect. I'm convinced that now we have every opportunity to considerably promote the potential for cooperation and to provide a new impetus for it. Much in this respect depends on a meaningful dialogue between the Russian and Swiss business communities. We must concentrate our efforts on implementing both high-tech projects and the useful initiatives of medium-sized and small companies, encouraging cooperation and business contacts in all directions. On my part, I'd like to emphasise that politically we are always ready to support interesting and promising ideas and proposals."
