Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signs Resolution No. 132 of 1 March 2011, On Amendments to the Statute on the Form of Visas and the Procedure for and Conditions of their Execution, Issuance, Extension, Renewal in the Event of Loss and Cancellation

Pursuant to this government resolution, diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Russian Federation may issue multiple-entry employment visas to foreign nationals and stateless persons who are family members of a skilled foreign specialist for the same term as provided by the visa of the foreign specialist they are accompanying on his/her visit to the Russian Federation. Such visas may be extended by the local body of the Federal Migration Service where the foreign national is registered by issuing a new multiple-entry employment visa for the term of the employment or civil-law contract entered into by the skilled specialist under Russian law for the performance of work (services), but for a term of no more than three years for each subsequent visa.
