The prime minister will visit Belgium to attend a meeting of the Russian government and the European Commission and to meet with the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso and the President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy.
The talks will be center around a new Russia–EU framework agreement, Russia’s joining the World Trade Organization, important projects on trade, economic and energy cooperation and the implementation of the new Russia–EU Partnership for Modernization and industrial policy issues.
The negotiations between the Russian government and the European Commission will be preceded by meetings between various Russian ministers and European Commissioners.
