Prime Minister Vladimir Putin greets the participants and guests of AutoInvest 2011, the 5th international conference on attracting investment to the production of automotive components

“Every year this forum has taken a stronger foothold as a respected platform for discussing the current development issues of Russia’s auto components sector and the country’s auto industry as a whole. Participating government officials, industry professionals, experts and analysts from all around the world focus on ways of attracting large-scale investment to the industry and setting up new enterprises and modernising the existing ones, as well as sharing their experiences.

Currently, Russia’s auto industry, which has withstood the test of the global crisis, is boosting production and intensively reviving the domestic market. I am confident that the industry has good potential for development. This means that its promising business initiatives and projects, including those involving foreign partners, will be in demand.

I hope that the solutions found in your wide-ranging and concentrated discussion will strengthen interregional and international ties, help create a favourable business atmosphere and introduce cutting-edge technology.”
