“Russian-Belarusian relations have always been friendly and allied, and they continue to develop positively today. Both countries have achieved substantial results in their integration efforts. The launch of the Customs Union has become a major event; the creation of a common economic space is well underway.

“I am confident that a government headed by you will continue the policy of extending this mutually beneficial cooperation. And you can count on Russia’s support in this respect. We are interested in concerted joint work with the new Belarusian government.”
