Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to the faculty, current undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as to the alumni of Moscow State Linguistic University (MGLU) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its founding

The message reads in part:

“This significant anniversary is an excellent occasion to look back on the university’s glorious history, to remember the names of all those talented, enthusiastic tutors and graduates who have brought renown to their alma mater through their academic work and achievements. This university is right to take pride in, cherish, and develop the outstanding traditions of its unparalleled language school. It has trained numerous generations of professionals to the very highest standard and their skills have always been in demand.

I am sure that MGLU will continue to occupy a leading place among Russia’s higher education institutions as a respected multidisciplinary research and educational centre.

I wish you continued success in your work and studies, the realisation of your plans and all the very best for the coming years.”
