"You can take rightful pride in the film forum's achievements and its glorious traditions established over the years, as well as the names of its talented competitors. By bringing together prominent people in Russian and international cinema, state officials, the clergy and public and educational institutions, the festival focuses the viewers' attention on the key issues of preserving our ample historical and cultural heritage, consolidating the lasting moral, spiritual and family values, and educating the rising generation. The festival makes a substantial contribution to the development of inter-ethnic and inter-faith dialogue."
