Prime Minister Vladimir Putin spoke with President of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov over the telephone. He asked Magomedov to take the utmost care of the fire victims in the village of Tsibari and to do everything possible to bring their lives back to normal
In addition, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin asked President of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov “to compile a list of requirements for managing the consequences of the fire.”
The Emergency Ministry’s Southern Regional Centre reported that the fire has destroyed 70-80% of homes in the alpine village of 400 people, Tsibari, in Dagestan’s Tsentinsky District. All in all, the village, which is located over 2,500 metres above sea level, had 95 buildings, including 88 residential buildings.
