Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends message of greetings to delegates and guests of the Fifth Congress of the Agro-Industrial Sector’s Trade Union

The message reads in part:

"In recent decades, your trade union has evolved in its level of influence, growing into an important organisation which invariably acts as the state's reliable partner in resolving important problems in the national agro-industrial sector's development, the harmonisation of labour relations and the protection of workers' rights and interests. I would like to note that our cooperation had particular significance this year when many agricultural regions suffered from severe drought.

"I'm counting on further cooperation in the efforts to turn the agro-industrial sector into a modern and successful industry, to strengthen national food security and to improve the rural quality of life."
