Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends a message of condolences to the family and friends of Vladimir Maslachenko, a famous football player, sports commentator and Merited Master of Sports of the U.S.S.R., on his passing
The message reads, in part:
"A bright and prominent professional with positive energy and exceptional skill has passed away. His life was fully devoted to sports. He rose to prominence as a football player and became one of the best goalkeepers of our national football team and of the Spartak football club. As for his brilliant reports, they will forever remain an example of how this work should be done."
