Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates the faculty, undergraduates, graduate students and alumni of Moscow State University of Culture and Arts on the university’s 80th anniversary

The message reads, in part:

"The university has progressed successfully through the years and today it is a recognised leader in Russian higher education in the cultural sphere. Many generations of highly skilled professionals have been educated here under the guidance of remarkable teachers. They have subsequently experienced personal fulfillment in library and information sciences, in publishing, in folk and modern art and in organising recreational activities.

"It is important to note that you are more than the guardians of the university's best traditions, you have also worked tirelessly to improve university programmes and to introduce advanced teaching methods. The university's staff and student body public activity through all those years, your concern for the preservation of Russia's rich cultural and historical heritage and your vigorous involvement in the implementation of creative projects and initiatives are all highly appreciated."
