Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan

The two heads of government discussed in detail several current issues relating to energy cooperation, primarily the Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline project and the nuclear power plant in Akkuyu. Both expressed satisfaction with the Turkish parliament ratifying the power plant agreement and the ratification procedure nearing completion in Russia on this issue.
The prime ministers discussed the progress of coordinating the technical details necessary to begin South Stream pipeline construction in Turkey’s exclusive economic zone. Mr Putin and Mr Erdogan admitted that both projects are progressing on schedule.
Mr Putin also used this opportunity to congratulate his counterpart on Kurban Bajram (Feast of Sacrifice, an important Muslim holiday).
