The two heads of government discussed important issues regarding their countries’ trade and economic relations prior to the planned November 18 meeting of the Russian-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission.
Mr Putin and Mr Netanyahu discussed in detail several current issues of Russian-Israeli cooperation, including Israeli companies’ plans to build a pharmaceuticals plant in Russia. They also touched on the planned transfer of ownership of St Sergius Church in Jerusalem to the Russian Orthodox Church. Mr Netanyahu reassured the Russian prime minister that all tenants will be relocated from the property in the near future, including the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture. Russia could start renovations as soon as the premises are free, he added.
