Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the XIV Congress of Russia’s National Association of TV and Radio Broadcasters (NAT) and congratulates NAT on its 15th anniversary

The message reads, in part:

"Since its establishment, your organisation has proved its viability, greatly contributed to the consolidation of the Russian media community and earned broad respect. One of NAT's major priorities is to hold annual congresses and exhibitions.

"These traditional meetings have long become important events both for Russian and foreign professionals, top managers of radio and television companies, the electronic media and communication outlets, and related ministries and departments. They offer an opportunity to meet in a businesslike yet friendly and informal atmosphere to discuss a wide range of professional issues in the development of the industry and implementation of innovative projects, and to outline plans for the future.

"I am confident that the current, XIV Congress will be a constructive and informative event giving rise to new and highly important initiatives".
