Today, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin spoke with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov over the telephone, at the latter’s request.

Mr Massimov expressed his condolences over the death of Viktor Chernomyrdin.

Mr Putin and Mr Massimov also discussed issues related to Russian-Kazakhstani cooperation in line with the formation of a common economic space and the functioning of the Customs Union.
