Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulated road workers on their professional holiday

The message of congratulations reads, in part:

"Developing road transport, ensuring it provides a reliable and uninterrupted service and improving the sector's infrastructure is rightfully a government priority. Road transport enables the movement of a significant amount of freight, and the services it provides are used daily by millions of Russians.

"By building new roads, repairing existing ones and by attracting major investors, the government aims to create conditions that favour the increased competitiveness and far-reaching modernisation of our country's automotive industry. I am confident that we will be successful in this much needed, important undertaking thanks to our human potential, our technical capability, and of course road workers' praiseworthy work ethic."
