Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the faculty, current students and graduates of the Vasnetsov Art College in Abramtsevo on its 125th anniversary

The telegram reads, in part:

"This college has a very special and in many ways unique history. It is inseparably associated with the Abramtsevo Estate Museum, with its unparalleled creative atmosphere, and with the names of many great artists and tutors.

"The Abramtsevo college has always been a hub for traditional Russian arts and crafts; it has preserved to this day the very finest teaching traditions. Its faculty is imbued with genuine enthusiasm for training young artists; they certainly know how to identify and foster real talent.

"It is vital that you also introduce new approaches into your work, incorporating modern elements into the specialist training you provide."
