The message reads, in part:
"Over the past fifty years, your forum has evolved from being a screening of student work to become a key event in our country's cultural life, taking its rightful place alongside the other film festivals. Importantly, renowned international cinematography schools take part in it alongside our own students.
I am sure we will see new names and talents emerge at this festival and that it will help improve understanding and deepen both creative contact and friendships between young cinematographers from different countries.
May you fearlessly confront the difficulties that face you, as you realise your full potential and your dreams. You are, after all, young, full of energy and have the benefit of an excellent training in your profession."
