The two prime ministers discussed bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
In particular, they exchanged opinions on the implementation of the Russian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Agreement on South Stream concluded in January 2008. Vladimir Putin and Boyko Borisov agreed to establish a Russian-Bulgarian joint enterprise prior to November 15, 2010, to develop a feasibility study for the Bulgarian section of the South Stream pipeline.
The two leaders also confirmed the successful construction of the Belene Nuclear Power Plant and discussed the possibility of attracting third countries, that are competitive in the nuclear energy sector, to the project.
