Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants and guests of the Caucasian Games
The message reads as follows:
"Your festival has brought together sports fans from all over the North Caucasus, giving them the chance to compete and hone their skills in a fair competition. Traditionally a region rich in talented athletes, the North Caucasus gave our country dozens of Olympic champions and winners of world and continental championships. I think that your festival makes the public familiar with many new talents who will contribute to the further development of sports and physical culture.
"I'm also sure that by helping people of different nationalities to better know the culture, customs and traditions of their neighbours, the Caucasian Games will make a real contribution to the strengthening of interethnic and interfaith harmony; the games will become a place where true friendships are formed.
"I wish all the participants good luck and success, and for viewers and fans - an emotional and unforgettable experience."
