"This new highway, which links the eastern and western parts of the country, providing the option to drive directly from Murmansk to Vladivostok, will resolve important strategic goals facing Russia today. It offers additional transport possibilities and starts a new era in the development of Siberia and Russia's Far East.
"After having the opportunity to drive this new highway, I can tell that the road has a high-quality surface and all the modern facilities. You have certainly done a good job. You have not only laid thousands of kilometers of roadway, but have successfully dealt with the most complex engineering and technology issues. You have certainly earned great respect and enormous praise. I am confident that the experience gained during this construction will be successfully applied to new projects and contribute to the general progress of national road construction."
