During the conversation Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to Donald Tusk for sending a group of Polish rescue workers and firefighters to help their Russian colleagues battle the wildfires.
Mr Tusk offered to arrange for medical treatment and rehabilitation for Russian firefighters in medical centres in Poland.
