During the negotiations the two heads of government will discuss a wide range of practical issues pertaining to Russian-Finnish trade and economic relations, including cooperation in the transport sector, the energy industry, innovative research, wood processing and agro-industrial complexes, joint development of the border and customs infrastructure as well as pressing issues of regional cooperation in Northern Europe.
In addition, Mr Putin and Mr Vanhanen will attend the 1st EU-Russia Innovation Forum, which will be hosted in Lappeenranta on May 27, 2010.
