Prime Minister Vladimir Putin speaks by telephone with Roza Otunbayeva, heading the popular confidence government in Kyrgyzstan

Valdimir Putin urged the Kyrgyz leaders to prevent violence and to take all necessary measures to secure foreign and diplomatic missions.
Ms Otunbayeva said that "the government, which is being established by her, keeps the situation in Kyrgyzstan, as well as law enforcement agencies and military forces, under its control." She added that the situation in Kyrgyzstan remained tense and the country needed economic support.
Putin replied that "due to the special relations between the two countries, Russia has always been ready to provide the necessary humanitarian aid to the people of Kyrgyzstan."
